Verified Reviewer |Power out limbs down
- - Customer service was helpful and friendly.
- - Two orders placed for two homes with power lines down; she didn't ask to call back for the second.
Customer service was very helpful and friendly. Took down all the information and gave me information that if it's not fixed in 24 hours to call again.
She took two orders for two different homes with power lines down.
She didn't ask me to call back with the second. Very friendly.
Resolved: To talk to a human being
- - Power has been out since 3:00 a.m. on a dead-end road serving 11 homes; a fallen limb shorted two wires and tripped the main fuse.
Our power has gone off around 3:00 a.m. Haven't seen an energy truck all day.
I live on a dead-end road, and it's 11 customers on our line that goes through a strip of pine trees. A dead limb has fallen and shorted the two wires, causing the fuse at the main highway to trip. No downed wires. Could someone at least come trip the fuse to restore our power?
Randy Zayak, 52070 Mumphrey Road, Independence, Louisiana 70444. I am the last customer on that line.
The neighbors across the street have power. They feed in by means of Mumphrey Road.
Preferred solution: A human being to be able to tell them the known problem

- - Blames the company for rising costs.
- - Costs rise and are passed to customers.
- - Wants a call and more electricity choices; leave Arkansas.
I'm sick of the rising costs it's not the people in offices it's YOU entergy. You don't HAVE to rise the costs of electricity just because things are happening.
You are PASSING THE BUCK TO US! you should eat the costs it's YOUR company. I wish you would call me.
I wish there were different electricity choices in my company. Someone petition to get them OUT OF ARKANSAS!

Verified ReviewerBilling issues
- - App payments failed twice despite funds; CashApp was involved.
- - Entergy charged a $40 returned-check fee and added past-due; refunds could take weeks.
I went on the app to pay my bill just like I have done the past couple years and have never had an issue until now. I tried to make a payment and it kept saying it wouldn't go through and not sure why because the money was there.
I ended up calling Entergy and told them what was going on. The lady I talked to was very friendly and nice and said she had actually just had the same problem and she also had CashApp and the same thing had also happened with her and didn't know what was going on. I had tried twice to make the payment and it said it had "failed" on both. When the lady told me the same had happened with her I just went and used my Regions account while I was talking to her and it went through right then and she even saw where it did and the confirmation # and everything so all was good.
Within the next couple days one of the others posted to my CashApp account so I called Entergy and they said it could take at east a couple weeks before they'd be able to do a refund or whatever because it hadn't "posted" on their end. I said ok whatever I guess it'll just credit to my bill the next month and would have to be paying another one anyway so whatever.
A couple days later the OTHER payment I had attempted to make that also was saying it "failed" on the app ended up trying to come through on my CashApp but by then there wasn't enough in there to cover it so I called Entergy AGAIN and they STILL WON'T HELP----
And NOW--- they ended up charging me $40 for a "returned check fee" and they've ALREADY got 2 payments for the same month. But NOW they're STILL ADDING A "PAST DUE AMOUNT" TO MY NEW BILL ?!?!?!?
Because it was messed up ON THEIR SYSTEM?!?!?!?
I have NEVER had an issue like this with them before and I've talked to MULTIPLE PEOPLE about this.
I honestly wish there were other options to go with another power company but sadly---- they have the monopoly when it comes to power here so they just do what they want.
Tomorrow I'll be contacting the public works commission or whichever it's called that handles utility companies about what's going on.
- Service is usually reliable and they try to restore it in reasonable time when have had storms knock power out
- Billing issues and they will not fix them
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: If you have any option to pay your bill in some stores just go ahead and pay the little fee and get cash to just pay it there rather than something like this happening to you. I will be doing this in the future. Will possibly just be closing my CashApp and checking account at Regions and just get new accounts at both to avoid this issue in the future.

Verified ReviewerPower outage
Entergy, it's too dang hot to have people with their lights off! I don't think they really care as long as you're paying that high bill.
Preferred solution: Full refund
Service not given after 3 months of waiting.
- - Branch tangled in a power line by the railhead; requested removal.
- - Texts rescheduling service; arcing near the railhead reported; no help yet.
I called for a simple removal of a tree branch. The branch is tangled in my power line next to the railhead.
All I get are texts rescheduling the service. I called again. The girl on the phone said they promised to be out that day. I reported that there was arcing near the railhead.
Still no help. More rescheduling text. I've decided to move. Entergy is the worst utility company I've ever dealt with.
Just as bad or worse than jackson water company. That's why they are ranked last.
User's recommendation: Never use them!

- - I'm a landlord with many accounts using one login, but I can't sign in.
- - I complained to a supervisor before, but it did no good.
I've had to call them numerous times! I'm a landlord and have many accounts, all with the same sign in.
But, just like today, I've tried to sign in with the same ID as usual and it won't let me in!
Last time, I complained to a supervisor but it did no good. They don't care and are just too big!
- Are too big and their customer service is a joke

Verified ReviewerResolved: Entergy cheated me out of $350 and still sending new bills demanding payment of face disconnection, but in the mean time cannot or WILL not tel me where my $350 payment is.
- - $180.46 credit after $350 overpay; refund not received.
- - $350 charged back; service disconnected.
- - Refund claimed Jan 28, 2024; still unresolved.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Monies were refunded April 9th.
Entergy said monies were charged back on January 28th.
It took February, March and part of April to get my funds back. Sad!!
My bank is still disputing Entergy charge n charge back of $350 since January 11 payment was made and on January 28, 2024 payment was supposedly charged back to my account. I have NEVER received a charge back to my account. Entergy has still been sending new bills that I have been paying or be disconnected.
What happened to $180 credit?? No one knows. And the refund was never received by my bank. I was told by Entergy n Speed Pay that the monies were refunded on January 28, 2024.
It is now March 24, NO REFUND. Now, Entergy is very short with me referring me to my bank, well my bank doesnt know what Entergy has done with the funds, either. My bank has been investigating since January as you can see the dispute filed. This company has to customer service of mobsters shaking down there poor, elderly, hard working, widowed mothers.
If they refunded the funds, they should know where they went. Instead, they tell me, We no longer have those funds. Get with your bank.. They show no concern or compassion for my loss.
I was given misinformation from then concerning my payment in the first place. I paid $350 with a debit card. Call to see when services would be turned back on, services had been off all night, I was told there was no payment made. I was told I could not use my debit card because I had a returned check and that is why debit card info did not go through.
Sooooo, I went to ATM withdrew $400 and made a payment of $350. Came out of store and instructed my 13 year daughter to check my account, We had $10 left. Both payment had processed!!!
Now, they will not return my money. Entergy is pointing the finger at Speed Pay, Speed Pay is pointing the finger at my Bank, My Bank is pointing the finger at Entergy and Speed Pay.
Over $350, REALLY??? Sharks!!!
- If at all
- Difficult to get issues resolved quickly
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Fined competition for Entergy. Give costumers a choice. Other options. Many people are complaining about how their bills has gone up since getting those new digital meters. Entergy simply passed the cost down to us and can now turn us off with the flip of a switch and charge us for their convenience.FOUL!!! I just want my little $350. Pebble in an ocean for a BIG BULLY like Entergy, RIGHT???

Verified ReviewerNUISANCE PHONE CALLS
- - Nuisance calls about power outages/restorations late at night and early morning, outside Entergy's hours and ignoring quiet hours.
Nuisance phone calls late at night (after 10:00 PM) and early in the morning (before 6:00 AM) regarding power outages or power restorations. These calls were, or are, made to us outside of Entergy's stated business hours, yet no consideration is given to this consumer's quiet hours (21:00 ~ 07:00).
- We do get reliable electrical power
- Nuisance calls
Preferred solution: CHANGE OF OUTAGE PRACTICES
I was just told today that I'm going to be out of lights. For $143.00 I paid $100. 00 and that I'm using 2000 watts.
- - AC and heating feel different from my old location.
- - I am pregnant.
- - Electric bill is very high even with minimal light usage at home.
I kept how my AC in the summer time from how it was at my old location. Same with my heating.
I'm pregnant my light bill is very high and I don't know why when my lights aren't on in the house when gone.
And when home barely have on. It's not making sense

Verified ReviewerThey block me from using the Entergy iPone app because they didn't like my review.
- - Granted a few days extension to pay.
- - Emails demanded payment for current and next month bill.
- - I was blocked from the myENTERY app after review.
There is nothing to resolve with Entergy, as per my contacting your organization...simply put... there is nothing you can do when dealing with INCOMPETENT MANAGEMENT...matters like this will eventually catch-up with elements like that...THANK YOU for asking.
I have no choice as they have no competition here. Their response has been to block me from using the myEntergy app for iPhone.
I requested more time to pay my bill (a few days) and was granted. Then I started receiving emails demanding payment for the current bill they granted me more time for and they demanded payment for next months bill that wasn't due for another 16 days.
So I paid them off immediately upon their email demand for current billing. The bill was not due for another 16 days.
THEY DID NOT LIKE MY REVIEW, SO THEY BLOCK ME FROM USING THE myENTERY sign-in app. This reflects less than competent management.

- - Reported a live downed wire with children nearby.
- - It took 4 hours for a truck to arrive.
- - This was unacceptable given the danger and heat.
Terrible service; I reported a live downed wire with children in the area, and it took 4 hours for a truck to arrive. This is totally unacceptable, especially with a live wire and kids involved in the heat of the summer.

Verified ReviewerRate Hikes. Dumb Service. Stupid practices
Entergy is a profit-driven corporation that exists as a monopoly for millions of clients. We don't have any say in how the company runs, yet when they collect big rebates from the government, they don't pay it forward.
They just keep hiking up the cost and put it on the backs of their consumers. I have never seen any storm-proactive practices. When a hurricane tears up all their poles, do they strategically bury some to reduce the damage in the future? No.
They just put up the same basic pine poles. I really don't like these guys.
Preferred solution: Apology
