I live in the state of Washington and I recieved a call from my sister in Monroe Lousiana. She was scared to death.

Entergy had shut my mothers power off and she is on oxygen to survive. I tried to calm my sister down and she got the oxygen bottle hook up to mom. I called Entergy's customer care. I explained the urgent situation with the power and they could not have cared less my sister was told to just take my mother to the hospital.

No arraigments could be made and no options were given. So there my mother was in the dark struggling to breath in a house that was heating up. The following day I cal the public utility commisioner for Jackson parish, district 5. He was very understanding and completly compassionate for the situation.

Soon after I got off the phone with him I recieved a call from a rep with Entergy. She said that she had seen that the payment was made in full. And that although they had still not turned the power back on the situation seemed to be resolved. I explained to her that Entergy had resolved nothing.

We resolved the immediate danger by getting her bill paid in full but Entergy has shown no sign of good faith. She told me that had it been escallated up to her sooner she could have made arraingments. The is easy to say now that we have taken action to resolve the immiediate danger. I believe that Entergy needs to credit the account $912 and give my mother an appology.

Thus far Entergy has dkne nothing to make the issue right. Which tells me they have learned nothing from this and will continue to do this to others. I have also reach out to my state senator to reach out to the senator in Lousiana.

As well as reaching out to the congressman. The immediate danger may be over because we took action immediatly but the resolve is far from over.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

So you didnโ€™t pay the bill and got shut off. Not the end of the world.

Your mom can power her unit from the car so she wasnโ€™t in any real danger.

Calling the PUC over a issue that was caused by your non payment shows a serious lack of care on your sisters part. At what point do you just admit that you didnโ€™t pay your bills for several months?

Wow!! Some of US, are not as fortunate as YOU,& still we work our *** off, trying to live pay day to pay day, or in this poor ladies case, she more then likely spent over half her life, at home taking care of her husband & kids and got sick & struggles EVERYDAY!

Or in my case, I work a 9-5 job every single damn day.go to online classes in between & regular classes at night, while struggling to support 4 kids on my own!

We lost EVERYTHING we ever owned to Hurricane Harvey,& a year later, our community is still living in trailors, & due to a bill that was accumulated since Harvey, I was disconnected, because Of the Cold hearted Electric company( ENTERGY) they claim to have helped Hurricane victims & blah blah blah?& yes they did defer our payments, due to Harvey, but then BOOM, if you couldnโ€™t pay it all at once,they disconnected you,no offer of payment plan, NOTHING, so now once again, me &โ€˜my babies are homeless (living with my parents) because of the lack of compassion & money hungry businesses like ENTERGY & cold hearted people like YOU! God BLess, because you sure NEED it!
